Events, facts, documents and evidence: The previous page shows replacement of the old water pipes in the village of Kamenyuki, home to 1,100 people as at 2009. Sewage is directed into a collection system and then to special absorption fields located about one kilometer away from the village among sand hills, surrounded by pinewoods.
The plan of preparations for the 600th anniversary to Belovezhskaya Pushcha's nature protection included overhaul and an upgrade of the water supply and sewerage systems, the sewage treatment facilities being among these. This work was performed in 2008-2009. Collection pipes were replaced and the pressure header that directs sewage to the absorption fields was repaired. The sewers in the village were not replaced.

This picture show the absorption fields where biological treatment of sewage takes place. There is no water stagnation, as the amounts of wastewater flowing in are relatively small. The fields are overgrown with grass, and on some spots, with young trees.
