Hotel number 2 complete overhaul, 2008 - 2009
Events, facts, documents and evidence: The tourist center of the National Park "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" is situated near the village of Kamenyuki, in the southern part of the protected forest. There are a few hotels there. Three of them are located at the tourist center and one (number 2) is in the village of Kamenyuki. It was built in the 1990-s.

At first it was principally used for serving tourists and in part as the temporary habitation for employees of the national park. By 2005 it was completely occupied by temporary workers and specialists who replaced the local staff. The hotel gradually lost its good external and internal view and there was a need to overhaul it thoroughly, although there was no finances to do this.

The plan of preparations for the 600th anniversary of Belovezhskaya Pushcha's nature protection provided for an overhaul of hotels. It started for the hotel number 2 at the end of 2008.

In late March of 2009 the builders have begun to erect the framework for a new pitched roof.

By mid summer the roof was complete and was covered with the metal, and the walls were coated.

By the end of summer the builders completed repair works outside and inside the hotel and began to landscape and develop the area around the hotel.
